Plain Quark Dumplings
  • 1 1/3 cups butter at room temperature
  • 4 eggs
  • dash of salt
  • 2 ½ cups Quark
  • ¾ cup cream of wheat
  • 8 cups water
  • 1 Tbsp salt

Cream the butter with a mixer, add eggs and salt. Mix in the Quark, cream of wheat, cover and let rest for 20 minutes. Bring the water to boil and add the salt. Cut tablespoon sized dumpling from the dough. Drop into the salt water and simmer for 12 minutes. Lift out and let drip dry. Serve with stew.
