- 3 Tbsp butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 red bell peppers
- 1 green bell pepper
- 1 cucumber
- 3 tomatoes
- 1 pound of lean ground beef
- 1 Tbsp paprika
- 2 Tbsp tomato paste
- oregano
- salt
- black pepper
Sauce:
- 1 cup Quark
- 4 Tbsp buttermilk
- 3 Tbsp heavy cream
- pressed juice of one clove of garlic
- salt
- 2 Tbsp chives
- 2 Tbsp parsley
Melt butter in pan and sauté onion in it. Cube bell peppers, cucumber, and tomatoes. Add to the onion. Add the ground beef and cook all together. Add paprika, tomato paste, oregano, salt and pepper. Cover, and simmer for 30 minutes. Mix Quark with buttermilk and heavy cream. Add the rest of the spices. Serve hot with sauce at room temperature on top.
