- 1 ¼ cups Quark
- 2 ½ cups flour
- 6-8 apricots
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 Tbsp heavy cream
- 1 dash cinnamon
- 1 dash salt
- some bread crumbs
- cubed sugar
- 1 shot glass rum or 1 tsp rum flavor
Mix eggs with butter, salt, cinnamon, Quark, heavy cream and flour into a dough. Divide into 6 to 8 balls depending on the apricots size. Wash and cut apricot open and remove pit. Place one cube of sugar dipped into rum into the pits place. Place into the dough ball forming a dumpling. Cook in boiling salt water until the float atop. Serve with melted butter and bread crumbs.
