Sour Cherry Quark Crème
  • sauerkirschcreme2 cups cherry juice
  • 5 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 ¼ cups Quark
  • 4 Tbsp kefir
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 Tbsp cherry liquor (optional)
  • 1 cup sour cherries (canned)

Put 6 Tbsp of the juice aside. Bring to a boil. Mix the rest of the juice with the cornstarch and sugar. Add to the boiling juice, and bring to a second boil. Let cool down. Mix Quark with milk, and beaten egg whites. Taste with cherry liquor. Serve over cherries.
