Cherry Quark Supreme Crème
  • 2 ½ cups Quark
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla sugar or 1 pack Dr. Oetker Vanilla Sugar
  • rind of one lemon
  • 4 Tbsp cherry liquor
  • 10 sheets of gelatine or 3/4 pack of Knox gelatine
  • ½ cup warm milk
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 pound canned sour cherries. drained

Mix Quark with the sugar, vanilla sugar, buttermilk, lemon rind and cherry liquor. Soak the gelatin in water for 5 minutes. Press out excess water, dissolve in warm milk, and mix into Quark. Beat heavy cream until stiff and carefully fold into Quark mixture. Layer Quark mixture and cherries into a bowl or glasses. Serve cold.
