Bavarian Quark Strudel

Dough:

  • 1 ¼ cups flour
  • 1 egg
  • ½ stick butter
  • 1 dash salt
  • 4 Tbsp warm water

Filling:

  • 2 ½ cups Quark
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 6 Tbsp butter
  • rind of one lemon
  • optionally grated nuts

Mix dough, roll out, and stretch on floured flour sack towel. Mix the filling and spread over dough. Roll up dough with the help of the towel. Grease cookie sheet, place roll onto it, and brush with mutter. Bake at 350f for 45-60 minutes. Brush with butter occasionally while baking. Once done brush with hot milk and sprinkle with sugar.
