Bavarian Quark Stollen
  • 2 ½ cups Quark
  • 4 cups flour
  • 2 eggs
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 4 Tbsp raisins
  • rind of one lemon
  • 2 Tbsp candid lemon and orange pieces (Zitronat and Orangeat)
  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 pack Dr. Oekter Baking Powder or 5 tsp baking powder
  • 2 Tbsp chopped almonds
  • 1 dash of salt

Mix all ingredients and form a stollen roll. Brush with egg yolk and bake for 45 minutes at 350F. Brush with melted butter once done and sprinkle heavily with powdered sugar.
