1 ½ tsp vanilla sugar or 1 pack Dr. Oetker Vanilla Sugar
1 Tbsp heavy cream
4 Tbsp chopped almonds
4 Tbsp butter
3 tsp baking powder
Filling:
1 cup poppy seeds
1 cup sour cream
2 eggs
2/3 cup sugar
cinnamon
Make dough and roll out to ¼ inch thickness. Brush with hot butter. Cut into 4” squares. Mix the filling and brush onto the squares. Pull up the 4 corners and pinch together. Bake at 350F for one hour. Mix rum or lemon juice with powdered sugar and brush onto pieces.
